I vaguely remember some weird interaction with room locking and muc_room_default_persistent.
Investigate and determine if there's anything to worry about there.

Things to try:
Enter a room.
Don't configure it.
Leave before 5 minute lock timeout.
Enter a room.
Wait > 5 minutes for the lock timeout.
Leave.

After these, try to determine if there's a tombstone, and then think about whether that's expected or not.
Remember to try with a normal user account, not as admin since this bypasses tombstones.
