Description of feature:
When a chat room has a password set by the /config form, it can't be unset to open it up again. Therefore I request an option where clearing the password field would actually remove the password protection or a specific button where the password removal can be requested.
Motivation: (Why?)
With this function it is possible to keep the same room and don't have to delete it and open a new which brings the downside to lose the chat history and the burden to motivate everyone to leave the room to create the same one again.

Hi, thanks for the report!
Unfortunately you didn't include details of the Prosody version or client that you are using.
Prosody already supports clearing the room password, so make sure your Prosody is up to date, and if it doesn't work then this is likely to be a client bug. Please report the issue to them.

Ok, that is a very old Prosody version that even contains security bugs. Please upgrade.

You did not say what client you use. Based on your mention of /config I guess Pidgin, which has an issue where it can't unset passwords. Closing because it's a bug in Pidgin, not in Prosody.
