I've set up my coturn turnserver according to https://prosody.im/doc/coturn, but when I try to log into my account on the Conversations app, it fails and just says stream error. If I comment out the changes made to /etc/prosody/prosody.cfg.lua file then I am able to log into my account no problem. I actually had originally setup my coturn on the same raspberry pi for my nextcloud talk. And I can check the status of the turnserver from the nextcloud and it shows that it works. I have searched online but I couldn't find any thing that could help me fix this issue. I'm not actually sure if this is a prosody problem or the conversations app problem. I know prosodyctl status command shows that it's running ok when I add the turnserver changes to the config file but then I am not able to connect to my account...it just says stream error. Has any one set up a turnserver on their servers that could help me with this? Thanks!

What version of Prosody? How exactly did you configure Prosody and what changes are you talking about? What do the logs say when you try to login? Be sure to enable debug logging.

I was able to fix this by following this tutorial: https://homebrewserver.club/configuring-a-modern-xmpp-server.html but even the tutorial is missing a part. I had to enable mod_turncredentials and now it works like a charm.

Still no idea how mod_turncredentials would have anything to do with a stream error. Closing since you say it is resolved.
