What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start prosody
2. Change a password of a user
3. User can no longer authenitcate until the instance is restarted
What is the expected output?
Once the password is changed, prosody should detect this and accept the new password
What do you see instead?
The user fails to authenticate and is locked out of their account
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS: Arch Linux
Version: 0.12.1
Please provide any additional information below.

What authentication provider are you using? That is, what is the 'authentication' setting in your config file?
