Some operations within prosodyctl now or in the future may require root privileges, but currently prosodyctl will always attempt to switch away from root if it is started as root. An initial attempt at fixing this was committed in https://hg.prosody.im/0.10/rev/dcda2ae4569d However this fix doesn't cover the situation where you have a setup where you do not want to generally run Prosody as root, but you do want to run one or more commands with root privileges (for an example, see issue #892).

Fixed in https://hg.prosody.im/0.10/rev/dd3191974f2a This also unblocks #530
